Paula Gelly, SAG
 



Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
 
Studies acoustic guitar at the age of 11.

By the age 17 goes to Los Angeles, to study Theater and Dance.
At 18, gets a scholarship at The Alvin Ailey Dance Center in New York City.
 
Performs on Broadway Musicals such as Fosse, Sweet Charity and Chicago.

Through Ford Models Sao Paulo becomes part of many commercials and prints in Brazil and Europe.
Establishes important partnerships with photographers and directors.
 
In 2008 goes to Seattle to lead the show A Rosa do Rio at Teatro Zinzanni.
 
In 2009, moves to Los Angeles her current residency. Studies acting and filmaking  under the direction of Arthur Mendoza (Stella Adler Technique)
being part of over 30 plays, Shakespeare sonnets and independent films. Studies screenwriting  Robert McKee, Jen Grisanti.
 
In 2016, writes, produces, directs and acts on her short film The Story of the Little Girl Who Loved Butterflies. She becomes a director and producer awarded in 5 countries worldwide.

Works with different photographers and artists such as Seamus McGarvey BCS, ASC Irish cinematographer, Siron Franco,  Guto Lacaz.
Working on her new book Because It Was Her, Because It Was Him with advisory of Gabriel Perez – Barreiro ( Cisneros Foundation). 

Working on her feature film script O Fio Vermelho, Māe, and her short film with legendary photographer Bob Wolfenson, in partnership with O2 Pós, São Paulo Municipal Orchestra -  entitled Porcelain.
